Deep in the southern Bible belt and feeling no resonance with the major religious doctrines, her spiritual journey began at the young age of 12 when she began searching for answers. Buddhism caught her eye and she began a devoted meditation practice and study of Buddhist texts that carried her through high school and into adulthood. Yoga soon became her passion which brought an embodied and grounded approach to her spirituality and ended her lifelong struggle with dissociation. This led to her 200 and 300 hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in Hatha and Kundalini Yoga, as well as opening Blue Lotus Yoga Studio, creating a registered yoga school and writing a yoga teacher training.
